This week’s trashed makeup photo belongs to the beautiful Bella who resides with Onderria. The photo I went from came from her review of Eucopia’s box that included a wooden bird.

I limit myself only to makeup I am tossing so I couldn’t make her fur as beautiful as I wanted too! The Pacifica eyeshadow has no pigment to it!

I filled this notebook! I used it to take notes for work on anything and everything and also to keep my doodling in check. I like my notebooks to lay flat easily and this one worked great. I have now moved onto the next one from the Fall box.

I was so excited to get ma paws on some korean beauty stuff. This mask worked well. You have to leave it on for 15 minutes. I wouldn’t say it changed my life so I probably won’t repurchase.

If only Calgon ‘take me away’ would venture into the sheet mask business…

Amika Nourishing Hair Mask

The mysterious seabuckhorns make their way into hair masks. This hair mask calls them the seabuckhorn berries…. I could end my inquisition into what seabuckhorn berries actually are but why? I prefer to imagine little buckhorns frolicking by the sea and munching berries or little brown berries with horns…

Oh ya, the mask works nicely on the hair and smells good too.

Whish Cleansing Oil

Way to go BB for sending me this. This stuff kinda blew me away. Like I might have to purchase the full size….. which I am not too stoked about considering it is $30 for face wash but it works great. Removes make-up, no yucky stuff, smells great and makes dinner too!

Jus Joke! (that is a Hawaii-ism) It doesn’t make you dinner but it does tuck you in with a kiss…ok no it doesn’t do that either but it does work great as a face wash.

Harvey Prince Body Butter

Well, the short story is that I have a whales sized body right now that needs lots of lotion so I put it on before bed (that way I didn’t have to smell it for to long)

I often wonder how the BB/Harvey Prince collaboration came to be. Like was their a rowdy poker game in which BB lost? 

Alright, these babies I am tossing because there is a lot of different kinds of silicone in them. And now silicones are not necessarily bad for your hair and their purpose is to try and cover up un-healthy hair. So my goal is healthy hair that doesn’t need silicone. Here is a great article if your interested on silicone in hair stuff

Gold Radiance Luxury Facial Mask with Collagen and Rose Oil – Recently a Subscriptionista reader said this Gold Mask dried her skin out so… I decided to try one right away rather than wait for a special occasion. (FabFitFun sent a 2-pack in the Fall box so I knew I could save the 2nd one for a special occasion if I liked it.) The good news is that it did not dry me out. The other good news is that I’m glad I didn’t actually buy 2 masks for $65 because this wasn’t any better to me than the $2-$5 sheet masks I’ve tried. It was good but not $32 good

Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer – This full-size product + the full-size DHC Cleansing Oil are the reason I first subscribed to BeautyFix in May 2015 (ah, the good ole days!). I’ve mentioned before that I’m one of those weird people that doesn’t ever notice a BIG difference in products – as far as making my skin glow or reducing fine lines, etc. I notice how they feel when I put them on on and how they smell. I LOVE the smell of this stuff! I like the ingredients list and it’s a good moisturizer but something about how it felt on my skin shortly after I applied it was a little “off” for me. It’s hard to explain, but I could feel it… not like a heavy cream that doesn’t sink in… almost a slight tightening feeling? Which actually should/could be a good thing for aging skin except I somewhat associate tightening with dryness? I would use it again but not sure I’d buy it for $45.

Derma e Microdermabrasion Scrub – (I got this from Sub Bella, thank you!) It’s a good face scrub, yummy lemon scent almost exactly the same as the prior lemony face scrub I had been using (it’s in another Empties post on here somewhere). The only thing that annoyed me was the little jar because it isn’t as deep as it looks – the inside has like a platform bottom (is there a name for that?) so that you think it’s deeper and than WHAM! you hit the bottom in the middle when you think you’re only halfway through the sample.

REN Keep Young and Beautiful Instant Firming Beauty Shot – Another serum – yay! This one actually came in a Birchbox Serum Sampler box that I bought because, again, I don’t get enough serums in my regular beauty boxes… send more please! This one smells great – clean and refreshing. Not too thick and not too runny, it was a nice added layer of hydration under my daytime moisturizer. I would not agree with the description that it “revitalizes skin instantly upon contact to create a firmer, more lifted, and plumper look” but nothing does… or I need to start looking a lot closer. Maybe I should take before and after close-ups after new products

The Fix Pomegranate Skin Oil and Neroli Nectar by ToGoSpa (December 2015, I think) – I adore serums and have yet to get enough samples of them so I love every time I get one in a subscription box! This one is definitely more of an oil and when they say wait 10 minutes before applying make-up, that’s an understatement. I ended up just using it at night but definitely took a long time to sink in… which I kind of liked because I felt very hydrated. It also helped me fall asleep on my back because I didn’t want my face touching the pillow – my preference is side sleeper but I read that sleeping on your back is generally best. And yes, I really liked the smell!

NUDE Skincare Advanced Renewal Serum – YES! Another serum… thank you Play! by Sephora.  🙂 This is a little foil sample but they gave us 5 or 6 of them. I assumed each one would be 1 application but the directions say to use only 2-3 drops. I used a little more than that per application and still got 4 uses out of one of these little guys! It does spread very nicely, soaks in well and has a nice, light scent. A little goes a long way but I can’t yet say if I’d pay $62-$78 for 1oz… not unless I notice a significant improvement in my skin somehow

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara and DiorShow Mascara – no idea when or where I got these samples… but it had to be sometime after May 2015 (& before Jan 2016) and definitely from Sub boxes. I don’t know how much is in these samples but they either didn’t have a lot of product in them, or they had dried out a little (my fault for waiting but so many mascara samples!), or they just weren’t awesome mascaras for me. They were both good and had potential – liked the brushes – but I wanted more… wetter / thicker? “That’s what she said!”
