Disclosure: No referral/affiliate links in this post. While I did hint HARD for this item it was up to a bear to procure it for me. I am not into style nor do I pretend to be stylish.
When I read reviews of the Rachel Zoe’s Box of Style and saw the Mara Hoffman Sarong I fell in love!
Like most times many of us have fallen in love it was bad timing. You see I did not buy the box in which the sarong was an exclusive item. I also could not get it because it was sold out.
I decided to just loudly exclaim my need for the item. You see, if all else fails the universe will provide. Kinda… a very nice bear went ahead and got it from ebay. Yay!
I served in the Peace Corps on the island of Samoa where I wore items like this every single day. However, we wore it differently in a traditional village. One of these days should people care I can teach anyone who wants to tie a traditional “lava lava” or sarong. It isn’t as exciting but does provide a bit more protection from any slips and what not!
Here is me trying to rock the Mara Hoffman Sarong in a resort style with a gold belt and sunhat from Sugarbash (click here for the review of that box)
Here is the front where me posing not only embarrassed me but anyone looking on! Notice my studied blogger stance… But seriously how cute are these colors together? The sarong was made for wearing! Plus the hat will help me stop some of those wrinkles that seem to be creeping up on my face.
The tassel details on the sarong are awesome because they make even a simple tie look a little better!
In all I super love my gift and if you can swap for this item do it! There are a zillion ways to use this item I promise and a pattern as flattering is hard to come by.
Email me at: Subscriptionista@gmail.com and let me know how you wear yours!!!
You are stunning!!! My son’s use the sarong as room decor and on a camping trip. I will send photos. Thank you.
You are too sweet! Yay send photos!
:0)
LOVE THE PHOTOS! I swear it all looks like it could be in a magazine! I want to steal them and blog as if it were my place and life lol! Thank you so much!!!!!
You are adorbs!
Thanks Pnut! I really appreciate it!!!
I’m glad that you post the photos! You look amazing. You need to do a tutorial on how to wear the sarong “resort-style” and traditional lava lava.
Also, your feet don’t look scary.
Ahahah they are scarier close up lol thanks for your kind words that helped me get the courage!
That looks amazing on you! Fit, tan & blond – hot stuff! 😉
Maybe you should start posting about your nutrition & fitness routines… I know you drink wine! lol
Thanks, jeez all these nice comments and I’m walking around today with a bit of a swagger Lol, I keep trying to tell my Cat how great I am but she remains unconvinced!
If I posted what I actually eat/drink and when I work out I think you would all agree I would NOT be the best person for advice! I’m the ultimate scavenger. I only really cook when I do Blue Apron lol I should get more healthy though. It’s just so hard when I can eat these day old fries in my car!
Plus the wine… The wonderful, wonderful wine!
She is teasing us. What about those Cross Fit classes?
I need to go more! I still am in a rut. Too bad Mizzfit didn’t come on here more often and we could see about getting some tips. I personally would love tips on cutting down my mid section. Like the back honch region.
Great pictures, you look like a model! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your kind words! We are so lucky to have such sweet ladies come over and read out little blog!
It was a real treat to post this since I was so afraid!
Omg I used to live in American Somoa growing up. I have the best childhood memories from there and my brother was born in Pago Pago. The picture of you is great. I also sub to Sugarbash and love that hat.
Malo Soifua! I served in the country of Independent Samoa! We would all crowd around an old TV (after traveling to Apia aka town) to watch fuzzy images from American Samoa during football games!!! That is so awesome!!!!!
Also thanks for your kind words, and how great is the hat we both got?!? It really is kick but!
I am sorta getting my head around the new box we got. I ate the chips lol
