Taco Bout It Tuesday: Thankful

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I am thankful for Squeakette, for my assistant is ever so sweet in reminding me to review all these boxes that come in.

So now that the rush of codes has happened, are you Thankful?

I am, my wallet isn’t!

Let’s see… What I remembered was that I thought it was Cyber Monday when it was early Sunday morning. I put on my list to get the Allure Cyber Monday Quarterly Bundle. Well the bundle was there (a picture of some of the items was featured instead of the Black Friday bundle)! And I ordered it.

And then realized it was Sunday.

Allure Round 2. There was a $7.50 Cyber Monday December Allure Box via the Amazon. I bit. It shipped. I cancelled.

It had the Winnie the Pooh Christopher Robin salt scrub shampoo which is $$$$ and I love it!

I think I should at least do an Amazon versus Allure comparison between the December boxes.

I will ask Squeakette to remind me.

I also got the BOGO Dermstore box, Back to School. I got the box when it was first released. It is the polarizing box because it came with a water bottle. Fortunately for me, one of my Squeakers needed a water bottle for school and she loves pink. So now I should have a total of 3 pink bottles for her.

Which is totally awesome because we lose components here as much as we lose socks.

If my defense, the weeist of the Squeakers has had a no/low/high fever for the last few days. Not enough days to see the doctor because we have done that already with the first four Squeakers.

Squeakette has seen all these boxes come in and she knows I should be reviewing them and she is definitely right!

I almost made a Grove Collaborative (this link gives you $10 and me $10 when you sign up) order as there was a sale on most of Grove’s brand products and some other items, but I got sidetracked. I also got sidetracked and forgot to check out ThredUp (this link gives you $10 and me $10 when you sign up) to pick up some kids clothes.

Reason being there is a sweet Cyber Monday code that expires today at Tiny Prints for Shutterfly (link gives you a free Shutterfly Photo Book) and I am working on putting my addresses in my account so they address it for free on a free customized envelope on my 50% off cards because CODE. PSA the code is CYBERTP

I think that is all that I can remember (or want to admit lol)!

There was a lot of window internets watching for sure!

Any damage you want to share? Maybe you will “refresh” my memory.

Please comment on the above or anything random below.

I got the Back to School boxes, too! Any of the beauty products particularly good?

And my Dagne Dover bags arrived! All of the organization features in them are amazing and are going to make my life so much easier, but I’m not sure about the size. I got a medium and a large because I wasn’t sure which was better. The medium just isn’t big enough for everything I want to carry, but the large is overwhelmingly large. Plus, it’s not really big enough for everything I want to carry either. It looks like I may need to rethink how much I carry….

Then there’s color. Oxblood looks like a muddy brown in person, and the 20% off sale is still on, so maybe I should get a different color? Maybe eclipse is more what I had in mind? But I like shiny hardware rather than black. Or the blue color I was originally eyeing? Ack!

Mini-Review of BeautyFix Back To School
Alterna – Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture CC Cream – I heart anything Alterna this Brand especially the Caviar range is really super-performing!
BKR Bottle- Glass-Covered = Good. Pain to clean but I have baby bottle brushes on standby to do the job.
Erno Laszlo – Hydraphel Skin Supplement – I normally think Erno is so cute with the mini packaging BUT I LOVE THIS. My skin literally just “slurps” it up like a dry sponge. It feels like a face mask serum consistency when applied but it gets 100% absorbed. I seriously may repurchase this.
First Aid Beauty – Ultra Repair Cream – This is a good moisturizing cream. Good for eczema but doesn’t work for Pipsqueak (the one with eczema). Marie/MailboxJunkie likes this.
Josie Maran – 100% Argan Oil – I love this. If I ran out, I would always buy a kit from Sephora on the holidays that would have this product. This worked perfectly on my tummy whenever I was pregnant with the itchys argan oil was the only thing that would work. This argon oil brand lasts the longest before going rancid (only happened with one bottle I opened and squirreled away half-full). It’s an awesome multi-use/task product.
Murad – Night Fix Enzyme Treatment – Haven’t tried. Gift piled I do not like this brand despite it being loved in the sub box community.
Vichy – LiftActiv Peptide-C Anti-Aging Moisturizer – Haven’t tried. I gift to my friend who loves Vichy brand.
VERSO – Foaming Cleanser – I am using this now. It has a slight foam. Nothing special with the exception of being a high-end brand.
Tocca – Florence – meh. This goes by the trash bin when it needs a hit of fragrance.

Hmmm… now I have most of my thoughts out. I might as well make a full review right? Squeakette will be pleased.

You can put BKR, caps and all, in the dishwasher.

I didn’t buy anything Cyber or otherwise! I have spent all my $$ at Lululemon getting ready for a yoga retreat in Puerto Vallarta, so I stalked the sales but didn’t buy. I did order a “free” phone case from Shutterfly on Black Friday though.

Thanks for commenting Dayle! Especially for the BRK dishwashing info that you can put all.the.BKR.things into the dishwasher!

The Yoga Retreat sounds fab! I couldn’t do such a thing I would be the one sleeping in the back of class. I have a lifelong friend I met at Yoga class via Bally’s Total Fitness eons ago who accepted me for my laziness so that was the peak of my fit(iness)?

Shutterfly is awesome sauce. Between Shutterfly and Walgreens I have my photo-related needs covered.

Oh my goodness I am excited for your upcoming trip! Bring a ton of sub box sunscreen with you and enjoy! Think of me if there is someone sleeping in any of your classes!

Oh, wow. You basically wrote a whole review just for me. Thank you! Now I am even more excited to get my boxes. My dry skin and hair are going to love these things.

        • December 6, 2019 at 8:37 pm

          Yea! I am happy 🙂

I will have to make a fuller review since I got most of the work done already. I threw out the boxes but I have the items to photograph. Now my littlist girl is sicky *sigh*

Squeakette will make sure I get to taking the pictures and posting eventually!

      Dagne Dover
Larger purses are always better but this is coming from someone who had “mom purses” before she became a mom!
Can you return one of the two purses? Maybe then choose another color?
Or wait until next year maybe you need to wait until you find “the one”!

Totally returnable! I would never have bought something sight unseen without a solid return policy in place. After much bag angsting, I’m keeping the medium! I want to carry all the things, but it’s just not good for my back. And it turns out that the oxblood color is very nice in the daylight. Just what I wanted. But now I’m curious to see just how large your bags are….

        • December 6, 2019 at 8:48 pm

I will have to get out my measuring tape lol! I would think the large Dagne Dover bag is a good measure of my preferred tote size. You are totes right about the back I keep switching sides to even my spine out.

My standby mom bag is really a diaper bag! The JuJuBe BFF. It’s convertible messenger/backpack and usually fully packed so the backpack feature is very useful. Do you watch Simon and Martina on YouTube? They have no kids but she has a JuJuBe BFF and I was so happy to see someone with no kids use it!!!
