Sunshine Crate Clothing Review – September 2015

I came across Sunshine Crate because of Sub Bella’s review and I decided what the heck I want to see if I can get some awesome clothing as well! The box is not in fact filled with literal sunshine, it has huge amounts of the figurative kind though be sure of that!

She does the best job explaining the details:

Subscription: Sunshine Crate

Cost: Mini Crate $48.00, Master Crate $98.00. Shipping for the Mini crate is $5.97.

What to Expect: Mini Crate – 2 mystery clothing items and one accessory. Master Crate – 4-5 mystery clothing items and one accessory.

Notes: Crates are released twice a month. The date and time are posted on their website and Facebook page. The clothes on their Facebook page have a fun, young vibe to them. Brands featured are “Peppermint, Mak B, Potters Pot, Xteren, Miss Love and many many more.” Size Small to Large ship within 3-7 days. Sizes X-Small and 1x-3x require additional time. There are also accessory crates and warehouse sales.

Unknown – Scarf: I live in San Diego and so I don’t wear scarves a lot. However I do have a place in Portland so it’s not like I don’t have a place to go. The scarf is really soft and the colors are great to if you are tired of the darker colors often found in cold weather clothing. I actually think the colors are really good for my skintone in the winter. Once I get my brassy hair sorted it should be perfect!  I like that it looks handmade. The scarf has no tag so I am going to tell myself that there is sunshine woven into every strand!

How many people can I convince I made this?

Sofra Activewear – Sweatshirt: I love prints with actual animals on them. It showcases my quirky personality and gives me something to talk about when I run out of cat stories. I am going to have to save this to wear for when I go somewhere colder. I see this more as a lounge piece because I don’t often wear sweatshirts out and about. I like that it has pockets and the inside is nice and soft. I can imagine getting nice hot cup of tea and putting my hood on to signify that no one can bother me!

The only sweating I will be doing in this will be by a fire!

Love Un – Jacket: I this this will go perfect with some jeans on a crisp day. It doesn’t have pockets which is probably for the best because it will be one less place for me to misplace [insert literally anything I have]. I already can see this might be just flowy enough for me to get attached by my cat while I am wearing it, so it will liven up my life a little!

If I want to get saucy I can style this with some chips and salsa!

Top Chic – Pencil Skirt: I LOVE this skirt! I love pencil skirts because they usually are long enough even for someone as tall as me. Though one time I was wearing one after I had started working out a lot and I bent over, heard a weird sound, and felt a rush of cool air on my backside… Yup… I split the skirt. I ended up having to borrow a lab coat for the rest of the day to hide my shame.

This skirt is thin, but very stretchy (trust that I tested THAT out before walking outside for the day lol) and I got a lot of compliments when I wore it to work today. I felt so stylish!

The black and white print matches my cat!

En Creme – Top: A cute take on a simple white top this shirt has pretty big detailing and could be worn to work. Mind you I need to find the right top to put underneath it. My job is fun but not THAT fun! The material isn’t my most favorite but it’ll provide a fun break from my other boring white tops.

I will tell people the bib is actually a replica of Victorian Era bibs used exclusively by the upper crust to eat Funyuns.

Verdict: A box of Sunshine! On purpose I did not provide much information at all. I think the next time I will provide more. All I said is I would like a few items for work which they delivered. The shipping is so fast!!! I LOVE that. Seriously, it was so quick that it took me two days to realize the box was actually from Sunshine Crate and not from my work. I really have waiting for clothing subs and this one goes the extra mile to read your wants AND deliver it in a few days. I can’t wait to try it out again!

I was surprised they got this out so fast and how they tried to work really hard with the VERY limited info I gave them

Awesome post! Good crate from Sunshine. I LOVE that pencil skirt and it looks amazing you! The story about your pencil skirt fiasco had me cracking me up… as well as your scarf selfie picture. LOL You were clearly having too much fun & a good amount of wine. 🙂
